Genomics is a branch of molecular biology that involves the study of an organism's entire genome, which is the complete set of its genetic material, including all of its genes and non-coding DNA. Genomics aims to understand the structure, function, and regulation of genes, as well as their interactions and variations within and between species. Through genome sequencing and computational analysis, genomics plays a crucial role in identifying genes associated with diseases, studying evolutionary relationships, and advancing personalized medicine.Proteomics, on the other hand, is the study of an organism's entire set of proteins, which are essential molecules that carry out various functions in living systems. Proteomics involves the identification, quantification, and characterization of proteins, including their post-translational modifications and interactions.
